Responsibly and Sustainably Sourced

Ensuring fish populations remain for years to come

Sustainability & Quality

CFish products add value for our customers by supporting sustainability by focusing on biomass security.

Our products are produced with fish welfare as a high priority: the better the fish welfare and quality of processing, the better the final product.

CFish have always recognised that the materials we use are a valuable resource and we must observe and adhere to policies that apply best sustainability practices in sourcing supplies to ensure that fish populations remain for years to come and to ensure the health of fresh and saltwater ecosystems.

We are regulated by the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) which ensures that the needs of today’s EU fishing industry are met without jeopardising fish stocks for future generations.

CFish are also regulated by the Irish Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA), who monitor our compliance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009 and the Department of Agriculture in relation to Commission Regulation (EC) 1774/2002 both of which regulate the use and transport of animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption.

CFish are also members of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), these associations actively promote and regulate sustainable wild caught and farmed fishing, as such we are audited every year against their standards.
