OUR STORY
C Fish was established in 1983, by Charles & Noelle Vial, as a small business selling fish door to door. Then moving to a larger premises producing fresh fillets in Dunkineely, Co. Donegal, located a few miles from Ireland's premier fishing port of Killybegs.
The business started to expand and became a major supplier to the Donegal Catch brand and the Spanish wholesale market.
In the early 2000’s the industry sought to replace dwindling whitefish supplies with deep water species, and C Fish, invested to take advantage of these prospective opportunities.
The early promise of the deep water fish species failed to materialize and zero quotas curtailed the supplies that the company’s investment was to take advantage of.
C Fish again was forced to re-invent itself and shortly after identified a growing market for bait products aimed at the expanding commercial fleet of crab, shrimp, lobster and whelk within the fishing industry in the Irish and UK fishing fleet as well as the angling industry (ocean and freshwater) in both Ireland and the UK.
In 2006 C Fish again expanded and began to specialize in the production of ingredients for the pet food industry – a major growth industry in Europe – which quickly became our major enterprise.
In 2024 C Fish was purchased by Pelagia Feed Ireland.
C Fish operate a nationwide refrigerated CAT 3 fish by-product collection service year-round. We partner with global export companies and our products can be delivered anywhere in the world.
C Fish maintains a strong focus on innovation, research and development of new high quality products for our business, using the finest raw materials the Atlantic Ocean can offer.
