OUR STORY
C Fish was established in 1983 by our current owner and managing director Charles "Charlie" Vial as a small business selling fish door to door with fresh fillets then being produced from a rented premises in Dunkineely, Co. Donegal located beside Ireland premier fishing port Killybegs.
The business started to expand and became a major supplier to the Donegal Catch brand and the Spanish wholesale market.

In the early 2000’s the industry sought to replace dwindling whitefish supplies with deep water species, and C Fish, invested to take advantage of these prospective opportunities.
Sadly in July 2002, half of the new factory was destroyed by a fire.
At the same time, the early promise of the deep water fish species quickly failed to materialise and zero quotas curtailed the supplies that the company’s investment was to take advantage of.

CFish again was forced to re-invent itself and shortly after identified a growing market for bait products aimed at the expanding commercial fleet of crab, shrimp, lobster and whelk within the fishing industry in the Irish and UK fishing fleet as well as the angling industry (both sea and freshwater) in both Ireland and the UK.
In 2006 CFish again expanded and began to specialise in the production of ingredients for the pet food industry – a major growth industry in Europe – which quickly became our major enterprise.

CFish now operate a nationwide refrigerated fish by-product collection service which brings raw materials to the factory year-round, we have also partnered with global export companies so our products can be delivered anywhere on the planet.

CFish maintains a strong focus on innovation, research and development of new high quality products for our business, using the finest raw materials the Atlantic Ocean can offer.
